1. Accuracy, and where not to rely on it

This is the part worth reading. The timers here are accurate to the clock on your own device and are built to survive a hidden tab, a throttled browser and a machine that sleeps. They are still a web page in a browser you do not control, running on an operating system that is entitled to suspend it. Treat them as good enough for cooking, exercise, study, meetings and games.

Do not rely on them where being late or early has consequences you cannot accept: medication timing, medical or laboratory procedures, driving or machinery, examinations of record, competitive results, legal or contractual deadlines, or anything involving safety. For those, use an instrument built and certified for the purpose.

2. What you are agreeing to

By using Online Time Tool you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

3. Cost

The tools are free to use. There is no account, no trial and no payment. We may add advertising to pay for the domain and the time spent building this, and if we do it will not put any tool behind a payment.

4. Availability

The site is provided as is and as available. We do not promise it will be reachable at any particular moment, that it will work in every browser, or that it will keep working in the form you found it. Tools may change or be removed.

5. Acceptable use

Use the tools for what they are for. Do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or the systems serving it, and do not use automated means to hammer it in a way that degrades it for other people. You may link to any page here freely.

6. Your content

Anything you type into a tool, such as an event name on a countdown, stays on your device and is not sent to us. A countdown link you create carries what you typed in the address, so if you share that link you are sharing that text. Do not put anything into a shared link you would not want the recipient to read.

7. Our content

The design, code and written explanations on this site belong to us. You are welcome to use the tools, to link to them and to quote a reasonable extract with attribution. You may not copy the site wholesale and republish it.

8. Third party links

Where we link to another site, we do not control it and are not responsible for it.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of this site, including anything that follows from a timer that did not fire, fired late, or was read wrongly. Section 1 explains where not to depend on it. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EEA or the UK, this does not remove the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and you keep the right to bring proceedings there.

11. Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top changes when they do, and continuing to use the site after that is acceptance of the current version.
